Hi everyone, I recently interviewed for the SSE role at Walmart and wanted to share my experience.
Round by round
- 1
DSA60 min
The first round was purely DSA. I was given two medium-level problems ,one on dynamic programming and another on sliding window techniques. Both required careful thinking, but I was able to code them successfully and explain my approach to the interviewer.

LLD60 min
The second round focused on Java and Low-Level Design. I had to design the database and basic LLD for a ticket booking app, similar to IRCTC. In addition, the interviewer asked questions on the Collections framework, Hibernate, Spring Boot, and some core Java concepts. It was a mix of theoretical and practical discussions.

HLD60 min
The third round was a High-Level Design round where I was asked to design an e-commerce application. The emphasis was on the purchase and return workflows, scalability, and handling real-time updates. I presented functional requirements, non-functional requirements, the architecture, and API design while addressing potential edge cases.

Managerial60 min
Finally, the fourth round was a behavioral discussion. I talked about my last project, elaborated on the skills listed in my resume, and answered common behavioral questions about handling challenges, teamwork, and problem-solving.
