   BarRaiser Round90 min

   I shared my resume over email and received a response 8 days later stating that my profile had been shortlisted for an interview. The HR representative called to schedule the first round with BarRaiser. This round was divided into multiple focus areas, including Database, Java Internals, Spring Boot, and Coding/Problem Solving (Java). The interviewer was knowledgeable and made sure to cover all the topics thoroughly. Database:

   • SQL vs NoSQL: Differences between SQL and NoSQL schema.

   • Normalization: What is normalization and why it’s used.

   • GROUP BY vs HAVING: Differences between these clauses.

   • MongoDB: How MongoDB handles large datasets.

   • SQL Query: Write a SQL query to find all users inactive for more than 90 days (based on the last login date column). Java Internals and Spring Boot:

   • API Gateway in Microservices: What role does an API Gateway play in a microservice architecture.

   • Container Orchestration: What is container orchestration and which tools are commonly used.

   • Generics in Java: Explain the concept of generics and its uses.

   • Circuit Breaker in Microservices: What is a circuit breaker and why is it important?

   • JPA Integration in Spring Boot: How to configure JPA in a Spring Boot application.

   • Inner Classes: Different types of inner classes in Java.

   • Shallow vs Deep Copy: What is the difference between shallow copy and deep copy.

   • Spring Boot Annotations: Importance of annotations like @SpringBootApplication, @AutoConfiguration, @Repository, etc.

   • Lombok: What does Lombok provide in a Spring Boot project? Problem Solving:

   • Move Zeroes: This question requires you to move all zeroes in an array to the end while maintaining the order of non-zero elements.

   • Stack and Queue: Difference between a stack and a queue.

   • Implement Stack Using Array: A problem asking to implement a stack using arrays.

   Technical Round60 min

   Coding Problem:

   • Container With Most Water: I solved this problem, which involved finding the maximum water that can be contained between two vertical lines. Conceptual Questions:

   • Stream API: Questions related to the groupingBy method in Stream API.

   • Thread Deadlock: How to solve deadlock issues in Java threads. Spring Boot:

   • What is @Repository used for? What happens if you use @Service instead?

   • Constructor Injection vs Autowired: Which is better and why?

   • Pagination in Spring Boot: How do you implement pagination in Spring Boot applications?

   • Handling Circular Dependencies: How to resolve circular dependencies in Spring Boot?

   • @Transactional and @Profile: What are these annotations used for in Spring Boot?

   • Elasticsearch: How to insert and retrieve data from Elasticsearch in a Spring Boot application. This round felt average to me, as I was able to solve all the coding problems but struggled with some of the conceptual questions. The interviewer's accent also posed a bit of difficulty in fully understanding some questions, which made it harder to provide precise answers.
