How to prepare

Strengthen Core DSA, Cover these thoroughly:

  • Arrays, Strings
  • Sliding Window
  • Binary Search & Divide & Conquer
  • Trees & Graphs
  • Heaps & Priority Queues
  • DP (Medium level is enough for most companies)

I recently appeared for a multi-round interview process. Although I didn’t make it to the final offer stage, the experience itself was valuable and helped me understand where to improve. I’m sharing it here so it can help others preparing for similar roles.

Round by round

  1. 1

    OA60 min

    Platform: Coderbyte (via CodeSignal) The OA had two coding questions:

    • One Easy-Medium based on Divide & Conquer
    • One Medium-Hard related to Heaps Both problems were fair, and time management played a big role. I cleared this round.

    HLD Round60 min

    On Google meet, starting within intro and the resume based interview questions after this open ended High Level Design Questions Conducted on Google Meet. It started with a quick introduction and some resume-related questions. Then the interviewer moved to open-ended HLD questions. They mainly evaluated:

    • How I approach system design
    • How I break down requirements
    • My understanding of scaling, reliability, and trade-offs
  3. 3

    DSA Round60 min

    Another Google Meet round with two coding problems:

    • First: Easy-Medium difficulty
    • Second: A Hard problem (I don’t remember the exact title)
