    DSA + Problem Solving60 min

    I focused on keeping my approach clear, talked through possible edge cases, and explained why I used certain things.

    DSA + LLD75 min

    This round was all about building a custom LRU Cache from scratch. I had to implement the full class using the right data structures and explain how each operation works in O(1) time. The interviewer expected more than just working code, they wanted me to clearly justify my design choices.

    High-Level System Design75 min

    This round was pretty engaging. I was asked to design a Transaction Event Processing System for internal use at PayPal. The focus was on handling high-throughput event ingestion, deduplication, and real-time metric aggregation. We talked about using things like Kafka and Redis, and discussed data partitioning, graceful degradation, and how to make the system idempotent.

    Hiring Manager Round60 min

    This round was more of a thoughtful conversation than a typical interview. The manager wanted to understand how I take ownership in my current role, we talked about how I’ve handled production incidents, helped unblock teammates, and supported the team through challenges.
