How to prepare

  • Oracle generally asks questions related to Java OOPS and DBMS, so having a strong grip on them is crucial.
  • Solve DSA from Striver sheet, it is more than sufficient.
  • Also solve SQL questions regularly from hackerrank, leetcode mostly on joins, nested queries etc.
  • Also solve daily a puzzle from GFG, they will ask the same puzzles.
  • Always have atleast 2 good projects in your resume covering MERN with AI (Optional for now, don't know anything about future)

Round by round

  1. 1

    Online Assessment95 min

    Online Assessment was conducted online, and it had 4 sections, where in section 1 had an easy DSA problem, section 2 had mcq's on basic aptitude & reasoning, section 3 also had mcq's, which covered core C.S concepts like OOPS, Operating Systems, DBMS & Networks. Coming to section 4, I got a DSA question again which is of medium-hard level.

    Technical Round-I40 min

    I was called for interviews at an Oracle campus onsite, where in 1st round primarily focused on 1 easy DSA, 1 SQL, and a puzzle along with few DBMS & OOPS questions.

    Technical Round-II90 min

    The Second round, was pretty intense tbh. The interviewer asked me several questions covering nearly every topic, She asked me 2 DSA questions, 1 was easy and 1 was hard, 3 SQL questions ranging from easy to hard, and many OOPS and java questions alongside quite a few DBMS theoritical questions on transactions, commands etc. Also she asked me extensively regarding my projects mentioned in the resume, their ER diagrams, workflow, why a certain tech stack is used and why not other etc. She ended my interview by giving a puzzle.

    After second round, I was immediately called for 3rd round within 5 mins.

    Managerial Round60 min

    In 3rd round, I was interviewed by a manager with 19yrs of experience, He asked me a easy DSA question at first and then he deep dived into PL SQL based questions along side few basic DBMS questions etc. Then he asked me many HR questions which are mostly scenario based and then a small puzzle.
