   Online Assessment60 min

   The 1st round was online assessment, by our campus placement cell. The paper had a mix of sections aptitude questions, C language fundamentals, and 3 coding problems. While the aptitude part was straightforward, the C language section demanded precision, especially because pointers were everywhere. The coding questions not extremely tough, but the real challenge was balancing speed with accuracy. Only 5 out of 18 students from my batch made it through, even a small mistake could cost you the round.

   Online Interview Round 160 min

   Online panel interview with two NVIDIA engineers The interviewers grilled me on every project I listed, asking for details on implementation, design choices, and debugging. NVIDIA loves fundamentals. Expect questions on:

   • C/C++: Pointers, memory management, data types, integer overflow, function calls, resource management.

   • Operating Systems: Synchronization, process, deadlock, mutexes, locks, semaphores, race conditions, user/kernel mode, scheduling, threads, critical sections. I am not joking, knowing OS basics gave me a huge edge, even as an EE . DSA Problems: Two questions not too hard, but you need to discuss your approach. My prep (500+ problems) paid off here. Don’t skip DSA. It is a must for every software interview, no matter the company or profile. Behavioral: Why NVIDIA? Why SSE? Why you?

   • Have honest, thoughtful answers. Show your passion, curiosity, and willingness to learn. I was nervous, but I answered most questions confidently, even when I got stuck.

   Result: Cleared!
