  • Practice heap, matrix DP, graph traversal, and binary tree traversal variations, they are popular in mid-senior level interviews.
  • Be clear about your tech stack decisions, “why” is as important as “what”
  • Be very strong with core DSA, not just solving but explaining your logic and handling edge cases confidently

Round by round

  1. 1

    Technical Round I60 min

    This round began with a brief project discussion before diving straight into problem-solving.

    • A couple of SQL queries focused on deduplication
    • Follow-up: “How would you deduplicate at scale?” had to think beyond SQL into system-level solutions The interviewer was engaged throughout and asked thoughtful follow-ups, especially around how I think about data quality in production. And two DSA problem.

    Technical Round II60 min

    This one was slightly more intense. Despite solving both problem, I left this round feeling like I could’ve done better on speed.

    System Design (HLD + LLD)60 min

    This was one of the most engaging rounds. I was asked to design a user-generated content system for Reviews and Ratings. We discussed schema, API design, and where to place censoring logic. There was a good discussion around scaling average rating calculations and when to use Kafka vs direct DB writes. The interviewer really focused on my design decisions and the why behind them, which made the round feel very real and thoughtful. It felt like a real conversation with a fellow engineer. I could clearly sense this round carried weight.

    Technical Round III60 min

    Since I got a “weak hire” in Round 2 due to being a bit slow with one of the implementations, they scheduled another DSA round to re-evaluate. I was given two DSA problems This time, I stayed focused, walked through my logic clearly, and made sure to explain each step as I coded. Both solutions were accepted, and the discussion felt solid. I definitely felt like I redeemed myself in this round.

    Hiring Manager45 min

    This round was more on the behavioral side, focusing on my past experience and working style. We did a deep dive into some of my project decisions, and I was asked a few AWS-related questions, like when to use EC2 vs Lambda, with real-world examples. There were also typical behavioral questions. Talking about my career journey, favorite workplace, and future aspirations. Questions like “Why Myntra?” and “Why should we hire you?” also came up.
