I am a student from CS Department of NIT. Morgan Stanley visited our campus for intern hiring. We had an offline coding assessment (Aptitude + DSA) followed by 2 interviews of shortlisted candidates.

    Technical Round59 min

    Two interviewers were interviewing me. They started introducing themselves and asked for my introduction. They also asked about my most recent project (or best project) and the challenges I faced. Then they asked 2 DSA questions:

    • Add two numbers without arithmetic operator (Optimal solution uses bit manipulation)
    • Print all subsequences in an array with sum = K and no repitition of elements. (Sliding Window) Then they asked a couple of question from React.js. This was followed by a question on authentication and JWT (why we use JWT). They asked the role of a load balancer. They asked about a case based question on OOPS overriding. Overriding vs overloading with example. They started asking about DBMS. SQL vs NoSQL. Why MongoDB is getting so famous? Then, what is database sharding. How MongoDB shards the data?

    Finally they asked whether I have any question for them. (My friends had interviews, where they asked about OS and other OOPS fundamentals)
