   The first technical problem I was given was Assign Cookies. I started with the brute force idea of pairing each child with every possible cookie, but quickly moved to the greedy approach, sorting both arrays and using a two-pointer strategy to maximize satisfaction. The interviewer seemed satisfied with the explanation. As a follow-up, he asked, “What if a single child could take multiple cookies?” I outlined how I’d adapt the approach to handle that variation, which he appreciated. The next problem was Daily Temperatures, a classic monotonic stack question. I explained how a decreasing stack of indices helps us efficiently track the next warmer day. When I mentioned the amortized O(1) time complexity, the interviewer challenged me to provide a test case where multiple elements remain in the stack simultaneously.
