Round by round

1. 1

   Online Assessment60 min

   The assessment consisted entirely of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) focused on core fundamentals, data structures, and aptitude. Around 250 candidates took the test, and 25 were shortlisted for the interview.

2. 2

   Technical Round 160 min

   1. Formal introduction.
   2. Do you know Angular? (I responded that I know React for frontend development).
   3. What is the difference between a framework and UI?
   4. Since I had Git on my resume, they asked: What is the difference between merge and rebase?
   5. What is structural semantics?
   6. What are semantic tags?
   7. Do you know about blockchain? (I told them I know the concept but not in depth).
   8. Do you use a database or blockchain?
   9. What is inline CSS?
   10. What is the use of the !important keyword in CSS?
   11. How would you style every nth even and nth odd div? Round 1 concluded successfully, and I was informed after 5 minutes that I had qualified for Round 2.
3. 3

   Technical Round 260 min

   1. Formal introduction.
   2. Write an SQL query to find the nth distinct salary.
   3. Since MongoDB was also listed on my resume, they asked me to write the query for MongoDB as well.
   4. DSA question: Convert a binary tree into a binary search tree (BST).
   5. Implement merge sort. After completing this round successfully, I received a message 10 minutes later that I had qualified for the final round.

   Final Technical Round60 min

   1. Formal introduction.
   2. The interviewer gave me a choice to pick the area for the questions. I chose backend development.
   3. Write a query to find the nth highest salary in both SQL and MongoDB.
   4. DSA question: Given two strings, check if each character in one string matches with another character in the other string and return true or false. (This was a LeetCode hard-level question). All three rounds went well, and later I found out that five candidates had progressed to the HR round. At around 8 PM, I was informed that I was one of the three candidates selected.
