Google opens their SWE Internship opportunities every year around the end of the second year of college, recently went through the process & wanted to share my experience, as it might help future candidates preparing for similar roles
Round by round

Telephonic Interview Round60 min
This started with telephonic call. The recruiter first introduced herself and asked me to introduce myself, after which we discussed my previous internship experience, project contributions, tech stack, and coding profiles, talked about my preferred programming language and comfort level with it This round was mostly conversational but set the tone for the upcoming technical interviews

Technical Round 160 min
This round had two coding problems Problem 1 The interviewer shared a Google interview doc link and gave me a problem statement without test cases.I took a couple of minutes to think, generated edge cases, explained my approach, and discussed time and space complexities before coding Problem 2 Second problem was graph-related

Technical Round 260 min
Problem 1 (Medium) The interviewer gave a problem statement with three test cases and explained the requirements thoroughly. After this I shared my approach, time and space complexities, and coded the solution in about 25 minutes Problem 2 (Medium-Hard) This was a follow-up of the first problem, for this i presented two approaches with their complexities, and the interviewer guided me to the optimal solution, which I then coded successfully
