   Coding Round90 min

   The HRs have given us basic introduction of the Company and their benefits of employees. We were told about the interview rounds and the type of skills they are looking for. First we were given 90 mins of time for solving the coding test. The test is conducted on Hackerrank platform in the presence of HR in our college computer labs. The test consists of 3 medium to hard questions. **1) **The first question is a string + stack question where we need to recursively remove the k consecutive letters in the string and return the final result. 2) The second question is find best possible sum in a tree 3) The third question is quite difficult and I am not able to recall the exact question. I have solved 1st question and is able to solve some of the test cases for second question and not able to solve the third question. At same day night the shortlisted students for interview were announced and I am selected for interview on next day.

   Techincal Round 145 min

   This round was taken by the Lead Software Engineers, Team Leads of the company. In this round, The interviewer asked to tell me about myself and asked about my projects. After the basic introductions about company the interviewer started asking DSA questions. I was told to explain my approach with time and space complexities and write code template on paper.

   1. The first question is asked to merge nodes in between Zeroes.
   2. The second question is asked to count the subarrays forming an arithmetic progression.
   3. The third question is asked to find the kth largest level sum of a binary tree.

   For each question I was told to tell brute force approach and go towards most optimal approach explaining Time and space complexity. This round tested more of my process of thinking towards solution for problem rather than actually solving. So it is better to explain your thinking process and write on paper. In this even you are not able to exactly find the solution you still have chances of shortlisting for next round. This round was taken morning and after lunch the shorlisted candidates were announced. I was shorlisted for the next round.

3. 3

   Technical Round 245 min

   This round was also taken by the Lead Software Engineers, Team Leads of the company. In this round, The interviewer asked to tell me about myself and asked about my projects. I was told to explain my approach with time and space complexities and write code template on paper. This round is like Do or Die round. You need to find the optimal solution otherwise you are not shortlisted. This round covers Leetcode Medium to Hard questions.

   1. The first question is N meetings in one room.
   2. The second question is First Missing Positive. After solving this the interviewer asked me whether I solved this problem before. I simply replied that I did similar type of other problem (Although I did solve the problem before 😅).
   3. Generally everyone else was asked two questions. Since the time is still left I was asked another question. The third question is Minimum Characters to Add at Front for Palindrome. After solving the three questions, I was shortlisted to final Round.

   Director Round45 min

   This is generally taken by the associate directors of the company. This is just a basically HR round . First I was asked to introduce myself and other technical skills and soft skills. Then I was told a situation and how do I handle it. The interviewer asked me a favourite movie and made a debate about the fictional character with me. For me I said Avengers: Infinity War, and he told me a dialogue from the movie and asked at which context is this dialogue from and We talked about whether Thanos approach is good or bad. At last I was given a small diagram and to find the area of shaded region. I solved it by using some Shapes rules and Pythogoras Theorem.

   This round can vary person to person. So the best possible adive is to just be yourself and express that you have some good qualities by explaining your scenarios.

   At the night I was told that I am shortlisted for the Internship. The FTE offer will be based on the performance based in internship. After 6 months of Internship I have been converted to Full Time Employee as Software Engineer 1 in Factset.
