    Online Assessment90 min

    The assessment consisted of 3 coding problems, ranging in difficulty from medium to hard. The test was hosted on HackerEarth and focused on core algorithmic and data structure concepts. Questions:

    • Medium-level array manipulation problem
    • Hard graph-based problem
    • A dynamic programming problem

    Data Structures & Algorithms60 min

    In this round, I was asked two DSA questions that tested my problem-solving skills. The interviewer was keen on understanding my thought process, so after every solution, we discussed the time and space complexities in detail. Questions:

    • Array manipulation problem (medium-hard level)
    • Tree traversal problem (medium level)

    Low-Level Design (LLD) + DSA60 min

    The interviewer asked questions that required practical application of Java concepts and deeper understanding of data structures. The interview focused on code structure, modularization, and maintainability. Questions:

    • LLD problem: Design a task scheduler for an automated system, focusing on modularity and extensibility.
    • DSA problem: Solve a graph-based problem that involves shortest path algorithms.

    System Design + Resume120 min

    The final round was a 2-hour interview with two senior engineers, and it was a combination of my resume and a system design problem. The first hour was mostly focused on my previous projects and the architecture behind them. The interviewers asked detailed questions about feature implementations, design choices, and the trade-offs I made. It was a good opportunity to explain the thought process behind the decisions I made in my past work. The second hour shifted to a system design problem, where I was tasked with designing a system similar to LeetCode. The system needed components like leaderboards, contests, and questions. The interviewers were very engaged, challenging me on my design decisions, asking for alternative approaches, and testing my ability to scale the system while keeping it flexible.
