LLD Round60 min
The second round started with some discussion about my previous experience with distributed systems and handling higher traffic. After that, the interviewer gave me the main design prompt, design an event tracking and analytics system similar to what segment I walked through the core flow:
- clients sending lightweight analytics events
- an ingestion API that can absorb sudden traffic spikes
- batching + a queueing layer (Kafka-style)
- a worker pipeline for transformation and enrichment
- storage options for raw vs aggregated events
- query patterns for dashboards and funnel analysis Unfortunately, I didn’t move on to the next rounds.
