   Initial Phone Screening25 min

   Basic phone screening. The interviewer asked about my background, my technical skills, and my previous experience. This was more of a general check to assess my fit for the role. Discussed briefly about my projects, including technologies I have worked on.

2. 2

   DSA60 min

   In this round, I was asked two coding problems, one focused on DP and another on SQL. Maximum Subarray, a classic problem and I was asked to implement an optimal solution using Kadane’s Algorithm. The SQL-related question tested my knowledge of joins, subqueries, and optimization techniques. I was asked to write a query to fetch specific records from a large dataset and explain how I would optimize it.

   Design60 min

   The task was to build a loyalty points system for an e-commerce platform. The interviewer wanted me to walk through the APIs, data models, and high-level architecture. Some of the requirements included:

   • Users earn points based on how much they spend, 10 points for every ₹100.
   • They can use these points at checkout, up to 20% of the cart total.
   • Points expire after 6 months if unused.
   • A way for users to view their full points history, earned, spent, expired.
   • and more (i do not remember) I came up with a design that included a separate ledger to track all point transactions (to make it auditable), and a simple balance field in the user profile for quick lookups.

   Project and Behavioral Round60 min

   The interviewer asked me about my past projects and how I handled specific situations at work. I was also asked some behavioral questions to evaluate my cultural fit for the team. Questions:

   • Tell me about your most challenging project. How did you approach it?
   • Describe a time when you had to collaborate with a team to solve a difficult problem.
   • How do you manage tight deadlines and competing priorities?
