   Screening Round30 min

   This was a profile and fundamentals check. Topics included:

   • My day-to-day responsibilities and current work
   • Java fundamentals: multithreading, exception handling, collections, and inbuilt data structures and general backend discussions
   • Spring Boot concepts like handling threads, request flow, and common design patterns This round was more conversational and aimed at verifying my background and understanding of core backend concepts.

   Assessment Round60 min

   Two coding problems were asked, followed by explaining the logic and approach:

   • Shortest Path in an Undirected Graph with Unit Weights, implemented BFS and discussed TC/SC
   • Longest Substring With At Most K Distinct Characters used sliding window approach, handled edge cases, explained reasoning clearly The interviewer focused not just on the solution, but also clarity, optimization, and approach explanation

3. 3

   Low Level Design Round60 min

   Design a simplified version of MySQL with working code. Expectations included:

   • Creating databases and tables
   • Inserting and querying rows
   • Maintaining basic relational behavior
   • Parsing commands
   • Storing data in in-memory structures
   • Following OOP + SOLID principles I was able to implement most of the functionality
