   Coding Interview Round 160 min

   Find Kth largest element in a stream of integers. I used a min-heap Follow-up: How would you solve this with a different approach? I discussed how I would use a quickselect algorithm as an alternative for better time complexity, other was reverse a singly linked list in groups of k , i was able to solve it easily

   Design Scenario: Create a "Photo Gallery App" and describe how it would scale to millions of users. Covered:

   • Cache invalidation (when to refresh or evict images)
   • Rate limiting (how to protect backend from abuse)
   • Database schema: How to handle transactions, indexing (for photo lookup and search), and detailed schema explanation (users, albums, photos, metadata). Theory Questions: Consistency models (eventual vs strong consistency) CAP theorem NoSQL vs SQL- Pros, cons, when to use each I found this round challenging.

   The hiring manager asked about my background and projects in more detail. He asked about:

   • Your role in the most challenging project and how you handled conflict in the team (during my college).
   • What kind of environments do you prefer working in?
