I interviewed with Amazon for SDE role off-campus and would like to share my experience. 2025 pass-out from a Tier-3 college, and this was one of the most important opportunities for me. I applied through the Amazon Career Portal
Round by round

Assessment (Online)60 min
The assessment consisted of two medium-level coding problems to be solved within 60 minutes, followed by a workstyle assessment that tested alignment with Amazon’s Leadership Principles. For me main challenge was managing time efficiently during the coding section, and I realized that the workstyle assessment is often underestimated but carries significant weight in the selection process. Few days later, on July 2, I received a confirmation mail stating that I had cleared the OA. Along with the mail, I was asked to fill out a hiring interest form and share my coding profiles.

Technical Round 160 min
The first technical round was held on July 12 and lasted for about 60 minutes. The structure of the round was quite straightforward. For the initial 45 minutes, I was given two coding problems. The first one was a variation of the problem Maximum Number of Weeks for Which You Can Work, and the second was a variation of Replace Non - Coprime Numbers in Array.

Technical Round 260 min
The second technical round took place on July 22 and lasted for about 60 minutes. Began with a brief introduction and a discussion around my background I was given a linked list question, specifically a variation of Insertion Sort List. Once I explained and coded the base solution, the interviewer pushed further with three to four follow-up variations on the same problem.

It began with short introduction, this round heavily towards Amazon Leadership Principles, the interviewer asked a series of scenario-based questions to evaluate how I demonstrated ownership, customer obsession, bias for action, and dealing with ambiguity in past experiences. After this, the interviewer moved to a coding problem, which was a variation of the Factor Combinations problem.
