Round by round

    OA60 min

    As i applied directly through Amazon’s career portal and, to my surprise, received an invite for the Online Assessment (OA) within a few weeks. Standard DSA questions, as i am very active on different coding platform because of this i was able to solve OA questions, easy to medium level

    First Technical Round60 min

    I was asked several basic operating systems concepts, difference between processes and threads, what causes deadlocks, memory management basics, and real-life scenarios where these concepts come into play. Also interviewer gave me graph problem most stones removed with same row or column, means similar one. I had to figure out how to remove as many stones as possible, given that a stone can be removed if there’s another stone in the same row or column. One more problem was also there ,i do not exactly remember.

    Second Technical Round60 min

    Problem: Design a Rate Limiter I talked about how to limit requests per user/timeframe using sliding window and token bucket approaches, and explained the pros and cons of each. I was then asked, How would you scale this rate limiter in a distributed system? I talked about using distributed caches like Redis, ensuring clock synchronization, sharding strategies, and handling replication/consistency challenges. After that series of Amazon LP (Leadership Principle) questions.

    Third (Final) Round60 min

    This entire round all about my alignment with Amazon's values, fully Amazon Leadership Principles.
