The team and why we need you

As Head of Finance / CFO, you typically join a VC-backed company that needs to professionalize its finance function and prepare for its next funding round. You might build the function from scratch or step in to scale it. You own finance, report directly to the CEO/founders, and work closely with the board and investors.

Why we need you: managing cash, modelling the future and getting fundraising-ready is what keeps the company alive and growing.

Your goals as Head of Finance / CFO

Your mission is to give the company the financial clarity and firepower it needs to scale. Typically, you will:

• Build financial modelling and FP&A, and monitor cash flow, burn rate and runway.
• Lead or support the next fundraising process (Series A, B or C), including data room and investor relations.
• Set up finance processes, tooling and reporting from the ground up.
• Be a trusted partner to founders, board members and investors on every key decision.

Profile

Who we’re looking for

We care about track record and mindset, not pedigree. 10+ years is a guideline, not a hard rule: exceptional profiles below that threshold are welcome.

Preferred experience: 10+ years in finance in high-growth or VC-backed environments (Series A to C), having led or supported a fundraising process.

• Hard skills: financial modelling, FP&A, cash flow management, burn rate and runway; fundraising (data room, investor relations); finance tooling (Pennylane, Spendesk, Qonto, NetSuite, Pigment or equivalent); French GAAP, consolidation and statutory reporting; investment banking, Big 4 or financial controlling background a plus.
• Soft skills: rigorous and analytical; clear communicator with founders, board and investors; structured; trustworthy; business-minded.
