Job Summary

Homeowners of America is a P&C carrier that writes its own paper, and we are growing our homeowners book across multiple states. The Sr. Product Consultant is a senior execution role at the intersection of product, operations, and technology. You will be the connective tissue between state product managers and the teams — IT, compliance, underwriting — who bring their ideas to life. You understand P&C insurance products well enough to shape requirements, spot gaps, and keep complex multi-state rollouts moving without losing momentum. You are organized, self-directed, and known for making things happen.

 

What You Will Do As An Insurance Sr. Product Consultant

• Own the execution of a portfolio of countrywide and multi-state product initiatives from ideation through launch and post-launch review — managing timelines, deliverables, and competing priorities across multiple concurrent projects.

• Partner with state product managers as a peer and subject matter resource — helping refine product concepts, identify gaps, and translate ideas into the documentation and requirements needed to move initiatives forward.

• Develop and maintain standardized product documentation frameworks and IT business requirement templates that state product managers can adapt efficiently for their markets.

• Translate product concepts and state-specific program details into well-structured IT business requirements; partner with technology teams through handoff, build, and go-live.

• Lead launch readiness — ensuring all teams, systems, and documentation are prepared before products or changes go live.

• Track project KPIs including milestone adherence, timeline variances, and post-launch effectiveness; identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements to make future rollouts faster and cleaner.

• Manage and enhance scalable project scheduling frameworks to improve visibility and accountability — enabling product managers and cross-functional teams to stay coordinated and on track throughout project lifecycles.

• Collaborate with the Product Operations Manager on standardized processes and frameworks that improve how product initiatives are planned and executed across the organization.

 

What You Will Bring As An Insurance Sr. Product Consultant

• 4+ years of P&C product management or product operations experience, including direct experience leading multi-state or countrywide product rollouts.

• Solid understanding of homeowners and dwelling fire insurance products, underwriting processes, state-specific filing requirements, and regulatory environments such as ISO — enough to be a credible resource for state product managers and a knowledgeable partner for IT.

• Proven ability to develop standardized documentation frameworks and write clear, complete IT business requirements that technology teams can act on independently.

• Strong project management skills — you can independently own multiple concurrent initiatives, track milestones and timelines, and keep stakeholders aligned without being asked.

• Analytical and data-literate; comfortable interpreting project and product performance data to identify gaps and drive improvements.

• Highly organized and self-directed — you create clarity and structure in ambiguous environments rather than waiting for someone else to provide it.

• Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira and Asana, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and AI tools such as Claude and Copilot.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Actuarial, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member

Pay Range:* $112,500 – $157,500 annually

 

*Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, job‑related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.

 

Additionally, you will be eligible to receive long-term incentive awards, subject to program guidelines and approvals.
