Software Engineer – C# Hardware & Systems Application development

We are looking for a versatile and motivated Software Engineer to develop and integrate hardware and Desktop applications primarily in C# and partly C++. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers across disciplines to ensure seamless hardware-software integration, improve system performance, and drive structured documentation and testing processes.

ROLE OVERVIEW 

 

• Extend and optimize C#/C++ code for hardware communication and system applications

• Develop and integrate software t hat enhances the performance and usability of our technology

• Design, develop, and maintain automated software and hardware test ing

• Investigate and analyze external and internal bug reports

• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering to align development with project goals

• Support implementation and code review within the software team

• Participate in and refine all stages of the software development process, including research, design, implementation, integration, testing, and deployment

• Maintain structured documentation and project tracking, ensuring clarity, reproducibility, and version control

 

YOUR SKILLS 

 

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science , Engineering, or a related field

• Extensive knowledge in .NET/C# on Desktop and embedded platform s, k nowledge in Desktop UI development (WPF , Avalonia ) is a plus

• E xperience with hardware communication in C# , and embedded development in C++

• Experience in software testing methodologies

• Preferably experience in software development in regulated environments ( e.g. semiconductor, medical, automotive)

• Experience with Git, CMake , and Linux/ Yocto is a plus , f amiliarity with DevOps principles and tools is also a bonus

• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams

• Strong problem-solving mindset, eager to tackle complex challenges

• Hands-on approach with a passion for building and optimizing technical solutions

• Fluen t in English and can communicate your ideas clearly and effectively . P roficiency in German is an advantage
